You Startled Me

This is your challenge:

That's a quote from the author John Updike and while he was talking about writing, he could just as well have been talking to you about the challenge you face on your show every day.

Most of the stations I hear today, all around the world, aren’t unprofessional.

They’re worse than that.

They’re boring!

They’re predictable!

Every hour, every day, just like the last. And, just like every other station I can hear in your town.

So here’s my question for you: What will you do within the confines of format and professionalism that will astonish me today?

How will you startle me out of the stupor of sameness that surrounds listening to Radio today?

That's the goal and when you consistently reach it, you are going to be very, very successful.
