Now on with the countdown ... This has bothered me for two weeks ... The new Taylor Swift song ... got leaked and got released. But did it get played everywhere? I heard it ... sounded like a Taylor Swift song to me ... my 13-year-old heard a piece of it on the Taylor Swift iPad/iPhone app and said she would download it. That's all you can ask for.

Whether you like it or not, white middle-aged men program directors ... how can you not put the song on and let the listeners hear it?

Is this the same crack research team that took out the Garth Brooks recurrents ? So let's figure this out...

You won't play the Conways and Johnnys and Merle ... okay ... skews too old ... I get that.

You jumped on the Taylor Swift...Carrie and other young Country girl acts and they did fantastic. Okay ... now Taylor is overexposed? Maybe ... but how can you sit on this song even for an hour?

Where is the urgency in this format/radio for that matter? From the lack of bad weather coverage since you are on remote control a lot of the time ... or on a network show of some sort. The lack of urgency and excitement over a new song from a hot act? Not another song from a released album, but a new song as in "the Taylor song"...

It is just odd ... The metros grow ever more urban, but some of you put on hillbilly talk shows who have nothing to do with Country music.

I was listening ... had no choice ... to a Top 40 station at 2p on a Thursday ... It sounded fresh and was playing the hits ... they all sound alike, but the pre-teens and teens are connected. They know the words to the songs and sing-along at everyone. Why isn't this happening in Country?

We need another Taylor Swift, but a guy....we have a lot of girl singers these days, don't we?

A single guy who has charisma and has talent. Maybe we already have him and they are just a song away ... a career song ... I hope so ... Country needs to man up a bit ... balance ... I need a few days off ... this is making me more crazy than I already was....
