Taylor, Taylor, Taylor...

She's everywhere ... and it's not really her fault. In fact, congratulations to all her "people" who really ran a good week for her ... considering everything.

This career has been fascinating to watch. You learn again that it is as important the things you don't do as the one you pull the trigger on. Doing nothing is sometimes the best choice. As we saw the day after Kanye,she was in the witness protection program. Perfect choice...

On the negative side of the ledger, which is small, many morning radio types around the country are Howard Stern wannabees ... many are just plain stupid. It makes the good shows shine that stronger. People not on top are trying to make a name for themselves. Dealing with them in times of controversy is probably not the best decision. Dealing with people outside your format and knowledge also tricky. You just don't know the good from the bad.

I hope Taylor gets everything she wants and gets it unharmed. It's a jagged side of the mountain she is climbing. Be careful with her...

If Taylor's music is pop country, then look at the charts right now. Has anyone noticed all the "COUNTRY" music flying around these days? Justin Moore #1? How about that?

Did anyone hear all the stink that came up in the last week about racism and the Obama Administration? Former President Carter said it; Bill Cosby agreed. Most, including the President, said no, that's not it...

With that said ... .is it possible that some Country radio stations are NOT running a certain song because of its progressive lyrics? There are NYC reporters sniffing around this subject. I hope this does not blow up into a stink. It will make us all look bad.

These are crazy times, but not all bad times. Been on the road and listening to a few stations ... the new music sounds good. It's healthy for the format. The economy still is far from well. Let's hope that changes sooner than later...

The CMA Awards are impossible to handicap. Not the group category but almost everything else. Impossible.

You can see some people splitting votes and the third choice wins. That has happened in the CMAs before. And some WOW names beat the big folks ... stay tuned.
