Let’s have Johnny Cash host the morning show this week. Hey, let’s get the morning show people a picture with Dolly Parton and Loretta Lynn together. Only your imagination and the lack of laws on the books will limit what AI is going to be able to do.
CBS’ “60 Minutes” correspondent Scott Pelley did multiple pieces on artificial intelligence on April 16th. They should thrill you and scare you to death at the same time!
Like fire, cell phones and the internet, your world is going to change. Jobs are going to disappear, and some jobs created. The folks at iHeartMedia read the AI book ahead of the main class. They seem to know where all this is headed.
Songwriters maybe should be really scared. The demonstration of “writing a song with these words” test is insane. The song I saw was at least as good as “Old Town Road” and “Achy Breaky Heart.” You really need to watch those stories, then ask yourself about the military aspects of this and you will freak out.
Just stop for a second and think about how the internet changed your life. Look what the internet did to newspapers, and then what happened with the rise of streaming services like Spotify, etc. Media as we knew it in, say, 1980 is not recognizable today.
Change is inevitable. You must change to survive. Yes, yes and yes. But, hey, AI might be the bridge too far.
Ostrich people … heads up! Change while there is still time.
Now on with the countdown, as Casey Kasem used to say. Hey, with AI, maybe he comes back?
The three stadium singers are smoking up the towns they roll into: Swift, Wallen and Combs. For Taylor’s NRG Stadium Houston shows, on Wednesday hundreds lined the sidewalks trying to buy TS t-shirts. Houston TV was all over the story. In Tampa, the Swift concert was like a costume ball. Fans dressed like their hero. Even Billy Joel took his family!
Luke Combs played two Nashville stadium nights last week and owned the town. Morgan Wallen is playing Ole Miss’s football stadium, where no one has ever done a big show, or maybe anything other than football.
Brad Paisley played for the U.S. troops in Poland, and will, on the 4th of July, play for the hundreds of thousands at the massive Nashville Independence Day show.
Nashville music is huge right now. Just a caution signal to the artists: politics is a dangerous subject. Abortion and gun control are two of the most polarizing. Add Ukraine to that list. Generally speaking, it’s best to hide in the shadows on any of this.
A college baseball teacher recently played a certain Lee Greenwood song to pump up the crowd. Well, it got the song picker some boos and cheers. That song is Trump’s speech theme song. Hijacked. It used to be everybody’s song, “God Bless The USA.”
Add a certain beer brand to the list of controversial topics. The world is really nuts these days … duck!
