The Amazing Journey Of Morgan Wallen … And Garth Brooks

What is the magic formula of Morgan Wallen? Was it always going to be this big? Did he just take a short detour into hell?

Could any person depending on the good will of the public get where Morgan Wallen is after that “incident,” and after a short time be magically raised up by his fans forcing the business to revisit him?

It wasn’t the industry, it was clearly his fans/supporters. By the thousands they bought his music, and kept his album, “Dangerous,” at #1. At some point he could not be ignored. Now, there’s a long awaited new album, “One Thing At A Time,” and you just knew it would be huge.

The facts: Billboard #1 Top 200 all genre, Billboard #1 Hot 100, five of his songs in the Hot 100 top 10. Also #1 on the Billboard Country Album chart and #1 on Billboard Country Songs. And there’s the streaming charts, too! A handful of acts -- one handful -- have ever done what Wallen did this week.

Still, some gatekeepers turn their back on him. That likely wouldn’t happen if this was anyone else breaking records like this.

Where is People magazine? The network morning shows? The late night shows?

It’s the sound of silence. You know who you are.

How many pop performers have made mistakes, been given forgiveness and moved on? This story should be over. Morgan is only going to get bigger. A total of 1.2 million fans have already purchased his tour tickets. Many more would have! So check yourself before you wreck yourself! Enough on this subject.

He is the biggest thing in Country music, love it or not! CEO and sometime inspirational speaker Garth Brooks gave a good coach’s speech to the Country Radio Seminar this week.

Garth said, “Heart differentiates the man from a machine.” The G-Man also said, “I see the internet entering the disinformation age … Civil war is waiting if we don’t watch out.”

How great and how disabling has the internet been to our lives? Jobs created and jobs lost to the net. Rumors spread and announcements made. We cannot survive without it.

Computers do way too much, and they are going to be doing a lot more! The computers help us make money and they also kill human jobs. The fake news stuff is a huge problem and must be defeated!

Garth is another one of those people with super powers with the public. Just look at those mega shows like Central Park and Ireland and tell me he doesn’t have super powers.

The moral of this story: Forgive people who can be forgiven. And get on the wagon before the horses run over you.

Help Morgan prove he’s a good guy. Don’t let the artificial intelligence computers defeat humans. That’s your mission.
