Wouldn't It Be Nice

Dolly Parton, Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin are all in for the sequel to Nine to Five ... a 1980 classic comedy. Writing is underway and hopefully this will be as funny as the first one!!
Eric Church on the cover of Rolling Stone. He poses for the cover photo underwater. This is one interesting star.
Mr. Church lives near Nashville and on a mountain in Western Carolina. The RS cover story is must-reading. He is not afraid to answer any question throw at him. Eric doesn't do a lot of media but he's done a doozy of an interview here. Near-death medical situation last year, he likes Bernie Sanders, his gun control stance, it goes on and on. I like him more after reading this... Must-read really!
Reba and Cher among those chosen for this year's Kennedy Center Honors. Dec. 2nd in Washington airing on CBS Dec. 26th. Merle, Dolly, Johnny, Roy Acuff, Loretta and Willie are among the Country stars already honored. The big drama on this one will President Trump attend. Some big Trump haters are among this group of honorees, so we shall see. I bet not.
From the above Eric Church RS story: Eric is split on Trump. He likes that he is shaking things up, he hates the tweets and didn't vote for him (his wife did).
This week is another of those "Nashville takes over the stadiums" again. Music Row-born Taylor Swift will play three nights at the Patriot stadium in Foxborough. Kenny Chesney will take on Solider Field; Chicago and Luke Bryan becomes the first-ever Country star to headline at L.A.'s Dodger Stadium. Impressive!
Remember The Highwaymen? Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings and Kris Kristofferson. Four Hall of Famers hit the road and the recording studio for some great times. Johnny and Waylon are gone, but how cool would it be for another Highwayman group for today. Invite Willie and Kris along ... but it would have to be only Hall of Famers? Alan Jackson, Garth Brooks, George Strait, Vince Gill. What that be amazing?
How much talent did the originals have ... tons ... and these four? Got to be a hit record among them... On the young side: Brad Paisley, Keith Urban, Eric Church and Darius Rucker ... those guys could open ... Well, it's fun to dream, right? Come up with your own Highwaymen!
Recently Jason Aldean did a great music video with Luke Bryan, Charles Kelley and Darius Rucker. They could be the Young Guns. And the ladies? The Trio and other combinations have been done, too. Pistol Annies are coming with new music very soon. How great would it be to see Reba, Dolly, Faith and Carrie? Whew ... Fun to dream!
