If Santa is out shopping this week for Country Christmas gifts on Black Friday, the one artist with the loudest sales buzz is Garth-A-Claus!
He kicked off two weeks ahead of Black Friday with the Garth/Trisha Christmas album. Going into a very crowded group of Country Christmas projects this year.
On the day before the release day, Garth at Yankee Stadium on all platforms of AT&T. That's a 2016 kind of marketing bang. At Target is the huge Ultimate box set with remastered and new songs. Garth on The Voice ... Garth on GMA. Garth performing and winning on CMA. It has been a very big November for him.
Garth and his team are the best at generating multi-areas of heat.
On the Christmas cd page, Jennifer Nettles has plenty of good songs on her album, but "Count Your Blessings Instead of Sheep" is world class. "O Holy Night" ... outstanding, too. JN can SING!
Little Big Town is in the groove. "Better Man" got a huge CMA performance boost. They were in the crock pot for so long, but they are in the main room now!
Alan Jackson's "Remember When" did best of the catalogue selections, a classic song and performer. The CMA reminded all who saw it that Country is diverse with a deep bench!
The Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade has four Country artists ... The Rockefeller Center tree lighting a few more ....Christmas big on the Row this year.
Good charity work doesn't get nearly the attention it deserves! With Thanksgiving upon us, a big salute to Rascal Flatts and their work with Vandy Children's Hospital. The boys have contributed over $4 million in the last few years. Impressive and for a great place. They give time and raise money and their efforts are noted and appreciated.
So many successful Country artists give their time and money to so many charitable causes. From animals to children and everything else. The music business in general seems to understand charity. The Grammy's MusicCares ... Grammy in the Schools. Everywhere you turn in Music City, someone is raising money for something. There is great need, so Music Row keep exporting the LOVE!
Lost a good Music Row pal ... Former RCA/Gaylord guy Jerry Flowers. Left us 11/7/16 at age 68. Be thankful for every one every day!
Let's have a thankful Thanksgiving!
