Here we go ... recording sessions, tour planning and rehearsals are underway. A few tours hit the road this month to take advantage of those entertainment-hungry, snow-bound folks. January remains a planning, plotting month for Nashville.
The Hollywood movie people are in full award mode with the Golden Globes, Oscars and People's Choice coming up quickly. Super Bowl, the College Football Championship all have interest with The Daytona 500 one of the first signs of a Spring-to-be.
Music Row touches all these events, but ever so gently. A Dolly Parton movie out this month. But January with its new NBA season and only thoughts of what might be in 2012.
Taylor will finish touring and probably win something at the Grammys. Lady A and Jason Aldean should continue their winning ways this new year.
Keith Urban should have his voice back ... and The Voice with Blake will be back, as will in days, American Idol -- Music Row's instant "A" List talent show.
The economy and elections promise to have everyone's attention sooner and later. Radio consolidation will be felt for better or worse.
Let's pray Mother Nature will be kind this winter. We don't need a harsh, hard winter on top of the other drama we know that is coming.
Tim McGraw's legal arguments with Curb will be settled and he will be in one huge tour with Kenny Chesney.
You hope December was a great, creatively inspiring time for all the songwriters and producers. Artist recharging their batteries. Maybe some of us, too...Good luck to everyone this year. You put yourself in the position for luck to take place. Remember if you don't buy a lottery ticket, you will for sure never win the lottery!

PS: Ever figured out how much work you have done? Regis at retirement some 995,000 minutes of TV ... Do the math for yourself. It may be incredible! A lot more than Regis!
