Ella Mai

Ella Mai is a UK-born singer and songwriter. In 2014, she appeared on UK's X-Factor as part of the trio, Arize, failing to advance beyond the initial audition for the judges.  

She began posting solo tracks online, eventually attracting the attention of DJ Mustard, who saw her singing short covers of songs on Instagram and signed the singer to his label, 10 Summers. 10 Summers is distributed by UMG's Interscope Records.

In 2016-17 she released three EP's. The first of the trio, Time, appeared in February 2016. The third, Ready, includes the song, "Boo'd Up."

Boo'd Up" was nominated for Grammy Awards in the categories of Song of the Year (one of "the Big Four") and Best R&B Song. At the early 2019 ceremony, she took home the prize for the latter. She received a Grammy nomination later that year for Best R&B Album for Ella Mai.
