Davido, known as David Adedeji Adeleke from Atlanta, Georgia. He is a Nigerian vocalist/ producer that began his music interest while attending Oakwood University. In his late teens, he started making his own beats and investigating music production. He decided to drop out of school and start a full-time music career by releasing his debut single, “Back When,” in 2011. The single that was dropped had a mix of clubby production, high energy vocals, and Afro-pop rhythms. Following the second single “Dami Duro,” he debuted his album, Omo Baba Olowo that was released in 2012 and continued to produce more singles. The success for Davido came early, between 2013 and 2017 his singles “Gobe,” “Aye,” and “Pere” (among many others). Some of his singles featured collaborations with well-known rappers such as Meek Mill or Young Thug. Then, Davido signed a deal with RCA and started his label. In 2017, he released his single “Fall” that continues to make waves as one of the most played songs in New York City.
