Heartless Bastards

Formed in Cincinnati back in 2003, the Heartless Bastards have slowly but surely built a solid fan base via great press support and through constant touring. After a couple bandmember changes a few years back, the current lineup includes Erika Wennerstrom (vocals/guitar), Jesse Ebaugh (bass), Dave Colvin (drums) and Mark Nathan (guitar). They are now based in Austin.

The band's latest release, Restless Ones, was produced by John Congleton. Brimming with confidence and creativity, the new release sees Heartless Bastards pushing their distinctive sound forward with their most eclectic, energetic collection thus far.

In addition to the great support the first single, "Gates Of Dawn," is getting at Triple A radio, several other tracks deserve your attention including "Hi-Line," "Journey," "Pocket Full Of Thirst" and "The Fool."

"I definitely don't write everybody's parts, so everyone is creative within the process," Wennerstrom said of the project in a recent interview. "But I write the songs and arrange them for the most part before I bring them into the band. Some songs morph as it all comes together. Everybody definitely contributes."

The Heartless Bastards just played the NONCOMMvention. They hit the road in North America in June.
