Glen Hansard

After many years with The Frames, Irishman Glen Hansard's career took off with his participation with the "Once" film and soundtrack, which led to his collaboration with Marketa Irglova as The Swell Season (remember their stunning performance in Boulder several years ago?).

Hansard now returns with a solo effort called Rhythm and Repose. Created over the last year and a half while living in New York, the album was recorded by Patrick Dillett and produced by Thomas Bartlett.

Our first taste from the album was "Love Don't Leave Me Waiting" and other tracks have also gotten attention including "Maybe Not Tonight," "Talking with the Wolves," "Song of Good Hope" and "What Are We Gonna Do."

The latest focus track is "This Gift," which is being featured in the Disney movie "The Odd Life of Timothy Green." The song is being made available on the Digital Deluxe version of Hansard's new album.

"Once the Musical" won the 2012 Tony for Best Musical this year and grabbed several other awards! After dates in Europe and the U.K., look for a fall headlining tour and then more U.S. dates with Eddie Vedder.
