Alex G

Haverton, Pa's Alex G has a brand-new single "Runner" out via Domino. It's the first new music in three years from the Philadelphia-based 29-year-old singer, songwriter, and producer who uses the stage name Alex G, which is short for Giannascoli. The lead single is from Alex G's ninth album, God Save The Animals, out September 3rd. This is his fourth release for Domino; he self-released his first five albums. Filtering his experiences through fact and fiction, Alex collaborated with his bandmates Samuel Acchione, Tom Kelly, John Heywood, and Molly Germer on strings and/or vocals. As with all of his other records, Giannascoli wrote and demoed the songs of God Save the Animals by himself, at home; but, for the sake of both new tones and “a routine that was outside of my apartment” during the pandemic, he enlisted the work of some half-dozen engineers to help him produce the "best" recording quality.
