Adia Victoria

Adia Victoria returns with A Southern Gothic – an album full of country blues-inspired material that expands her musical palette. The project was executive produced by T Bone Burnett and co-produced by Victoria and Mason Hickman. Guest appearances include Jason Isbell, Margo Price, Kyshona Armstrong and Matt Berninger.

Several tracks standout from A Southern Gothic, including “Magnolia Blues,” “You Was Born To Die,” “Mean Hearted Woman,” “What The World Knows” and “Far From Dixie.”

Victoria said, “Last year the lessons I have learned on my walk in the blues—the business of love, lies, loss and spectacular death---surrounded my every waking thought like armor. In a society that attempts to suppress death into the unspoken, the blues has allowed me to dance in death’s face and sing her entire name.”
