KALEO
May 4, 2021
Iceland's KALEO have become a world-wide success since emerging to viral fame in 2012 -- especially over the past three year -- all leading to the release of their sophomore U.S. album, Surface Noise.
Band frontman JJ Julius Son said of the recording process, “It was really special to create this music while traveling the world: a studio in Greece, string players in Los Angeles at Capitol Studios, sessions at Aeronaut Studios in Reykjavik, Iceland and countless hours in Nashville across Sound Emporium, Blackbird, Ocean Way and RCA’s Historic Studio A. Each session further enriching the sound and bringing their own unique elements to the surface.”
On the harder side of Surface Noise, check out the current single “Break My Baby” as well as “Hey Gringo” and “Alter Ego.” On the more acoustic side standouts include “I Want More,” “Backbone,” “Walk On Water” and “Mothers Arms.”
Son added, “I simply hope what we’ve created makes you feel something … if so, then that’s amazing.”
Surface Noise is a featured album for Amazon, the album is also featured on several Spotify lists. Kaleo recently performed on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” and appeared on a recent JBE Virtual SummitFest.
The band will begin touring again in 2022. Learn more at www.officialkaleo.com.
