Fleet Foxes

Fleet Foxes have released their fourth album, Shore. Rather than being a full-band effort, the album was recorded mostly by frontman Robin Recknold before and after the pandemic quarantine in various places including Paris, New York, Los Angeles and places in between over two-year period.
The 15 songs on Shore are ethereal, airy, melodic and diverse. In addition to the singles “Can I Believe You” and “Sunblind,” check out “Wading In Waste-High Water,” “Long Way Past The Past,” “Young Man’s Game” and Cradling Mother, Cradling Woman.”
Pecknold said of the project, “I see Shore as a place of safety on the edge of something uncertain … tempted by the adventure of the unknown at the same time you are relishing the comfort of the stable ground beneath you. This was the mindset I found, the fuel I found, for making this album.”
There is an accompanying 16mm movie of the same name that was filmed by Kersti Jan Werdal. The film showcases the landscapes of the Pacific Northwest set to the music of the album. There was a short outdoor theater tour of it in December.
