Illiterate Light
Oct 28, 2019
Iirginia duo Illiterate Light have developed their career the old-fashioned way – touring and then touring some more. Shows at small local clubs and regional venues have led them to performing this year at Bonnaroo, Newport Folk Festival, and Lollapalooza.
Jeff Gorman (lead vocals, guitar, synth pedals) and Jake Cochran (vocal harmonies, stand-up drum kit) have released their self-titled debut album with the help of producers Adrian Olsen (Foxygen, Natalie Prass) and Vance Powell (Jack White, Kings Of Leon, Chris Stapleton). Together they have created a sound that is perfect for the UPROXX generation.
In addition, “Better Than I Used To,” check out “Carolina Lorelei,” “In The Ground,” “Sometimes Love Takes Too Long” and “Existential Crisis.”
Cochran said, “Everything we learned about being a band we learned from touring. Every opportunity came from getting on the road and playing as much as possible.”
