Cage The Elephant
Apr 22, 2019
Bowling Green, KY’s Cage The Elephant has just released their fifth studio album, Social Cues. The project was produced by John Hill and shows the band as creative as ever.
Cage The Elephant has certainly enjoyed success at Triple A radio, but their current song “Ready To Let Go” has proven to be a perfect fit for the format. Further, the song “Night Running” the band recorded with Beck is also enjoying support. Other tracks off Social Cues worth your attention include, “Black Madonna,” “Skin And Bone,” “The War Is Over” and the title track.
In a recent interview in Forbes, lead singer Matt Schutz said, “We're always writing and sharing ideas. Part of our process is just kind of finding that space where we become obsessed with music again and being excited and passionate.”
The band recently appeared on “The Late Night with Stephen Colbert.” Cage The Elephant and Beck will head out on a co-headlining tour in North America this summer. Both acts have partnered up with PLUS1 and $1 from every ticket sold will be donated back into each city they are playing in, supporting local food security initiatives. Prior to the tour, the Cage is headlining Shaky Knees Festival on May 4th in Atlanta.
