Outasight

Richard Andrew better known by his stage name Outasight, is an American singer-songwriter, rapper, and record producer born and raised in Yonkers, New York. Though he is considered a pop artist, he is influenced by other genres such as hip hop, classic rock and soul. In October 2009, he signed to Warner Bros. Records. He is perhaps best known for the song "Tonight is the Night" released in 2011.
Singer/producer Outasight thought that a secluded studio in his native Yonkers home would be the perfect place to record his upcoming self-released album Chasing A Ghost. It worked for a while, but then winter hit -- Outasight hit the road to L.A., a change of scenery that shifted the whole course of the album.
"'The Wild Life' was one of the first songs I recorded after moving to Los Angeles last fall," Outasight tells Billboard. "Right away the move changed the entire direction of my music -- I went from making a dark album in the hellish winter of New York to the sunny vibes of L.A." The summery sound of "The Wild Life," which Billboard is premiering exclusively below, is a result of the city's "good times and good weather."
"Every party or BBQ I throw I've been playing all James Brown and P-Funk, so I feel like this direction is very natural," Outasight continues, alluding to the song's seriously funky '70s vibe. Fittingly, the song is going to be the featured track in this summer's Bud Light Lime campaign.
