Born in St. Paul, MIN but raised in her parents' native country of Camaroon, Libianca gained notoriety on NBC's The Voice in 2021.

Describing the making of the song, "People" Libianca notes: “I was going through a lot during Thanksgiving week and felt so unseen - nobody noticed what was going on. I remembered thinking, I have to stay consistent with my content on social media, so I can’t afford to sit around in my emotions right now. So I walked past my room to the studio, found a beat and recorded it.” The relatability of the song has captured the attention of fans around the world, which has seen it top the Afrobeat Shazam chart, as well as amassing over 350k TikTok creations.
