Addison Scott was born and raised in Long Island, New York. He comes from a musical family where his Poppy played trumpet for the Glenn Miller Orchestra. Growing up to the sounds of horns blaring and Beatles singing, Addison had music woven into every aspect of his life.As a boy, he had a knack for rhythm and naturally gravitated towards the drums playing a various bands in and around Long Island. In his teens he discovered his love for melody and transitioned into guitar. At the age of 17 Addison discovered his greatest gift, his voice.Addison quickly catapulted as solo artist and landed a three month tour opening for American Idol finalist, Josiah Leming, where he performed a set of songs under the name One Love that he wrote and co-produced. The tour was 72 shows in total; six days on and one day off. This tour trained him for what is to come and also created opportunities for him to open for the All American Rejects, and Boys Like Girls.Tapping into a source of deep within his soul and writing songs that stimulate the imagination are Addison's forte. His anthemic voice cuts through a crowd and latches onto the hearts of his loyal fans regardless of age, culture, sexuality and denomination. Speaking of his first single, "I Came Alive," Addison declares, "I hope this song does to everyone what it has to done for me....It woke me up!"Addison sights that his major influences vocally are as broad ranging as Jeff Buckley, Freddy Mercury and the King of Pop, MJ.He now lives in Los Angeles where he writes and produces daily for himself and various artists who are in the "family."
