Gabriella Michelle "Ella" Henderson is a British singer-songwriter. She was a finalist on the ninth series of The X Factor in 2012 and finished in sixth place, despite being a strong favourite to win. She was subsequently signed to Syco Music.
Henderson's debut album Chapter One was released on 13 October 2014 and peaked at number 1. Her first single, "Ghost", co-written with Ryan Tedder was released on 8 June 2014 and went straight to number one in the UK, remaining in the Top 5 for eight consecutive weeks. Her second UK single, "Glow", was released on 5 October 2014 and debuted at number 7.
