Flo Rida

Flo Rida was born Tramar Lacel Dillard near Miami, Florida in 1979. He was surrounded by music growing up and joined the GroundHoggz, an amateur rap group, while in high school. The group performed together for eight years.
He attended college for a time at University Of Nevada, but returned to Florida to pursue a career in music. He was signed to Poe Boy Entertainment and spent several years working among artists including Rick Ross, T-Pain, and Trick Daddy.
In 2008, he released his debut album, Mail On Sunday. It featured his first single "Low", which featured T-Pain, and went to #1 on the Hot 100. Other singles followed: "Elevator", "In The Ayer" and "Roll".
Flo Rida's second album, R.O.O.T.S. arrived in 2009. It featured another big hit for the rapper, "Right Round" featuring Kesha, which also hit #1.
2010 saw his next album Only One Flo (Part 1), followed in 2012 by Wild Ones - originally titled Only One Rida (Part 2). It featured the song "Good Feeling", which sampled Etta James' "Something's Got A Hold On Me". It became a top three hit in the US and was followed by the singles "Wild Ones" (f. Sia) and "Whistle".
In 2015 he released the EP, My House, featuring the title track plus its lead single "G.D.F.R.". Flo Rida continued to release tracks, telling fans his fifth studio album was in the works.
Last year, he released two country rap singles, "High Heels" featuring country performer Walker Hayes, and "No Bad Days" featuring Jimmy Allen.
Through his career, he's been nominated for many awards, winning several, including a Teen Choice Award, ARIA Music Award, People's Choice Award, and International Dance Music Award.
