Alexander Leon Gumuchian, better known as bbno$ (pron.: baby no money), is a Canadian rapper, singer, and songwriter from Vancouver, British Columbia.
Plans to be a professional swimmer were dashed following a back injury, and that’s when he became interested in music, using the GarageBand and SoundCloud apps. His hip-hop influences include Tupac, Gucci Mane and Chief Keep. He released his first EP, a collaboration with Yung Gravy, in 2017. His debut album, Bb Steps, arrived in 2018.
A second album, 2019’s Recess, featured the song “Lalala,” a collaboration with Y2K which went viral, gaining over 700 million streams. It was certified Platinum by the RIAA and ARIA.
“edamame” featuring Rich Brian, is featured on Eat Ya Veggies, the artist’s sixth studio album, arriving October 8. The song has amassed over 60m streams and trended on TikTok with over 350k creations to date.
Look for the performer on tour in the U.S. and Canada through October and November. A rescheduled U.K. and European tour is planned for February and March 2022.
