Alesso is a Swedish DJ and record producer, who was born Alessandro Renato Rodolfo Lindblad in Sweden on July 7, 1991.
A star in the world of EDM, he creates music that transcends boundaries and crosses into many genres. He has collaborated with artists as diverse as OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder, Calvin Harris, Tove Lo, Liam Payne, Sebastian Ingrosso, Hailee Steinfeld, Florida Georgia Line, Anitta, and others.
He started playing piano as a young boy and became interested in Dance Music when he was a teenager. He was mentored by Swedish House Mafia member Sebastian Ingrosso, who taught him how to DJ and produce tracks.
Early Alesso releases include 2011's "Calling" and "Pressure," both of which were big Club hits. The following year he was ranked #20 on DJ Magazine's Top 100 DJ's of 2012.
He signed with Def Jam Recordings in 2014 and released his debut album in 2015.
A collaboration with Hailee Steinfeld, 2018's "Let Me Go" (f. Florida Georgia Line & Watt), was a Top 15 Pop hit and Top 10 on the Dance Chart.
Alesso has played Coachella, plus a number of international festivals ranging from Tomorrowland to Ultra Music Festival to Electric Daisy Carnival, with his national TV experience including closing out GMA’s Summer Concert Series, performing on The Late Late Show with James Corden, and taking the stage at the AMAs.
