The Pop Rock band Why Don't We was created in Los Angeles in 2016. Early on, they appeared in a number of YouTube clips featuring their friend Logan Paul. In October of 2016 they released their first single, "Taking You" and debut EP, Only The Beginning. Two EPs followed and one year later, they were signed by Atlantic Records, who released their fourth EP, Invitation. A U.S. tour followed and in 2018, their debut album, 8 Letters, was released. The title track is their biggest single to date. Their current release "What Am I" was written with friend, Ed Sheeran, who also penned an earlier single for the band, "Trust Fund Baby."
The band's five members are Jack Avery (from Pennsylvania), Corbyn Besson (from Virginia), Zach Herron (from Texas) Jonah Marais (from Minnesota) and Daniel Seavey (from Washington).
A biography of the band, "In The Limelight," was published in 2018. They took home the Choice Music Group award at the 2019 Teen Choice Awards and were nominated for Best Group at the MTV VMAs (they lost to BTS). They are currently overseas, headlining the 8 Letters Tour through November.
