“Praying” is the brand new single from Kesha’s upcoming third studio album entitled, “Rainbow”. The song was written by Kesha, Ben Abraham and Ryan Lewis, and produced by Ryan alone. This is a soulful piano ballad; the song evokes strong emotions of past hurt and present healing. Kesha suggested that the song is about "hoping everyone – even someone who hurt you – can heal".
Singer-songwriter, Kesha got her beginnings in 2005, when she was signed to producer Dr. Luke's label, Kemosabe Records. In 2009, after appearing on Flo Rida's number-one single "Right Round”, Kesha started to gain serious recognition. When Kesha released her debut album, “Animal” she achieved immediate success. Her album appeared at the top of the charts in several countries. She achieved three number-one singles from “Animal” including, "Tik Tok", "We R Who We R", and "Timber" as a featured artist. During this time Kesha was writing songs for other artists, namely pop princess Britney Spears, including her single "Till the World Ends". In 2012, she released her second studio album entitled “Warrior”, which spawned the top-ten singles "Die Young". After a short hiatus Kesha has made a bold return with the release of her the single "Praying" and her third studio album “Rainbow” released via Kemosabe/RCA.
