Lava/Republic rockers Greta Van Fleet are from Frankenmuth, Michigan which is known as Michigan’s “Little Bavaria” for its scenic farmland. The band, which took its name from one of the close-knit community’s town elders, is a hard rocking quartet whose debut EP "Black Smoke Rising" in 2017 included the #1 Rock single "Highway Tune" and then the double EP "From The Fires" later that year. They also had success with their second single "Safari Song."
Since then, the three brothers –twins Josh (vocals) and Jake (guitar) Kiszka, younger brother Sam Kiszka (bass, keyboards) and drummer Danny Wagner, released their first full-length LP "Anthem Of The Peaceful Army" in 2018 which include another chart topping single "When The Curtain Falls," followed by "Lover, Leaver" which also had Rock chart success.
Last year, the band released a new single, "My Way, Soon" accompanied by a music video that was shot, edited and directed by the band. The song, which went to #1 on the Rock charts, is from their upcoming second album "The Battle at Garden’s Gate" coming April 16th. The new LP, according to drummer Wagner, draws on the band's touring over the previous two years, and how it opened their eyes. Wagner sais, "We realized that while growing up, we had been shielded by a lot of things, we were unaware of a lot of things". The Rock world is now FULLY aware of Greta Van Fleet!
On the heels of their fifth #1 at Rock Radio, the band have released the new single “Heat Above." It's the third track released from their forthcoming sophomore studio LP, and Greta's bass/keyboard player Sam Kiszka said “There’s plenty of love left in this world, even though it may not seem like it, and that’s what ‘Heat Above’ is about, rising to the stars together."
