Saliva is a band that started in 1996 but didn’t hit mainstream until 2001. They earned a double-platinum award for its album, “Every Six Seconds.” Lead singer Josey Scott, guitarists Chris Dabaldo and Wayne Swinny, Bassist Dave Novotny, and drummer Paul Crosby experienced the Memphis music scene and shared their background on the album which became a local hit. Record label, Island Records noticed Saliva’s talent and released their major-label debut in 2001. Later, Saliva released their third studio album “Back into your System” in 2002 which landed on No. 19 on Billboard 200. Not only was this album a success but it launched Saliva’s greatest hit “Always” reaching No. 51 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No.1 on the Modern Rock chart. Just three year later, Saliva released “Blood Stained Love Story” which replicated the same success as their previous album, Back into Your System’s chart achievement at No. 19 on the Billboard 200. And their single “Ladies and Gentlemen” had success reaching No.2 on the Mainstream Rock Chart.
