"OXO" is the latest single released by the singer-songwriter, Olivia Somerlyn. It has received over 3 million Spotify streams and over 1 million YouTube views and it is now her second No. 1 Billboard Dance Club Chart.
When asked about the song's meaning, Somerlyn explains, "I wrote 'OXO' about the people who try to bring us down but actually end up making us stronger by forcing us to believe in ourselves. They push us to prove them wrong. It's a song about haters, written from a more positive perspective that acknowledges the part they play in our journey to reaching our goals."
The San Francisco native's first #1 ranking was attributed to her popular single "Parachute," which quickly reached # 1 status on the US Billboard Dance Club chart and #5 on the UK Music Week Club Pop chart. Somerlyn most recently was seen on tour with platinum-certified artist Meghan Trainor on the European and UK "That Bass Tour" and with violinist and performer Lindsey Sterling. The ultra-talented singer, songwriter, pianist and guitarist has not only toured with The Jonas Brothers, Big Time Rush, and Victoria Justice in the U.S., but also but also opened for Jessie J's U.K. arena tour and Big Time Rush's Latin and South American arena tour.
