American well-known boy band, New Kids on the Block, also initialized NKOTB are currently one busy group with a nearby album release and a big upcoming tour scheduled for the summer.
On January 28th, NKOTB released a new single titled "Remix (I Like The)" and a new album called 10 which will be out on April 2nd. They are also going on tour with 98 Degrees and Boyz II Men as their opening acts in summer 2013.
Formed in Boston, Massachusetts in 1984 by producer Maurice Starr. The band consists of brothers Jordan and Jonathan Knight, Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg, and Danny Wood. New Kids on the Block enjoyed success in the late 1980s and early 1990s and have sold 80 million records worldwide. They won two American Music Awards in 1990 for Favorite Pop/Rock Band, Duo, or Group and Favorite Pop/Rock Album. In 1994, they disbanded and finally secretly reunited in 2007 and recorded a new CD. The group released that new album and embarked on a concert tour in 2008. The album, entitled The Block was released in September 2008. New Kids on the Block was listed as number 16 on Rolling Stone's Top 25 Teen Idol Breakout Moments. The group was on tour with the Backstreet Boys in 2011-2012 as NKOTBSB. Along with the Backstreet Boys, the group is set to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2013.
