“Broken Glass” is the new tropical tinged single from Rachel Platten, released via Columbia. The song is the first single to surface from her second major label album and was inspired after taking part in the Women's march. The track was produced by Stargate and Jarrad Rogers.
Platten had this to say of the single:
“‘Broken Glass’ is my rallying cry of release, healing, excitement, hope, and joy. It’s a celebration of the power of women—of our unity, strength, and fierceness, and of just how freaking awesome we are. We are badass on our own, but we’re unstoppable when we come together.”
In 2003, Rachel moved to New York City's Greenwich Village where she began her music career playing with a Prince and Sly and the Family Stone cover band called Dayz of Wild. Eventually, she started performing her solo music around the Village and then began touring the country. She has worked with numerous charities, Musicians on Call and she is an ambassador for Music Unites. She has released "Trust In Me" in 2003 and "Be Here" in 2011. Rachel's career really took off when her anthemic "Fight Song" came out in 2015.
