Whitney Woerz

The now 16-year-old songstress, Whitney Woerz is out with her impactful new single "Idea of Her". The song is from her forthcoming EP entitled “Iridescent” released via 600 Volt/Sony Red. The meaning and lyrics behind this song run deep; much like that of Whitney’s other tracks. The song is about breaking free from the confines of her “perfect” self-image. In the video she literally breaks free from the metaphorical representation of a cage in which she was self-imprisoned. 

"It's incredibly difficult to be a teenager right now. With social media it's easy to become lost in pressure to be and act a certain way" explains Whitney. "I want my fans to know that they are not alone and I hope my musical honesty encourages others to feel empowered to be their authentic selves."

Whitney Woerz is a young, wise, and talented songwriter and singer. Her songwriting seems to be targeted towards a youth that is struggling. Her music is empowering, uplifting and hopeful. Whitney is a voice of a generation and her music is a powerful force.
