Country artist Hannah Ellis performed a personal tribute, "Officer Down," during the 35th annual National Peace Officers' Memorial Service in Washington, D.C. on Sunday, May 15th. The service honored fallen members of local enforcement from across the country. Ellis' tribute was dedicated to Officer Daniel Ellis, her cousin who lost his life in the line of duty. "I am so grateful for the opportunity to honor my cousin and all the other fallen heroes at the Memorial Service," said Ellis. "It was such a tragic time for my family, so it's a huge blessing to honor him in such a big way at the Capitol of our great country."
The Memorial Service also featured a performance from Maddie & Tae and regards from the Assistant Deputy Dir./Department of Justice. For more information, visit www.HannahEllisMusic.com.
