Darius Rucker
Aug 4, 2023
Capitol Nashville's Darius Rucker has set October 6th as the release date for his previously announced album, "Carolyn's Boy," named for his mother. It will be his first solo album in six years. Brand new song “Have A Good Time” is available everywhere today (8/4) as a further preview of the project alongside his current radio single, “Fires Don’t Start Themselves.” Said Rucker, “I wanted to name the record 'Carolyn’s Boy' because mom never got to see any of my success. She died before any of this happened, so it’s just another homage to the greatest woman I’ve ever known.”
Rucker will appear on NBC's "TODAY" on September 1st to perform songs from the 14-track album, as well as fan favorites for the show's Citi Concert Series, and continues his "Starting Fires Tour" tonight in Bridgeport, CT, one of 17 shows left in the run. (Photo: Jim Wright)
