Sara Evans

Sara Evans was unmasked as the Mustang on last night's (2/15) episode of FOX's "The Masked Singer" after performing "Whitesnake's "Here I Go Again" and Rihanna's "Diamonds." Before her unveiling, the show's judges took guesses as to the singer's identity, ranging from Wynonna Judd to Joan Jett. Also unmasked (and sent home) on the same episode was legend Dick Van Dyke, who performed in a gnome costume.
In a post-show interview with Entertainment Weekly, Evans said she wept when she found out later that she had been on the same show as Van Dyke. "I am such a fan of 'The Dick Van Dyke Show.' I've literally watched every episode 20 times over," she said. "I'm the biggest fan in the world. So I started sobbing, sobbing. I couldn't believe it. My entire career, every time we check me into a hotel, I have used the name Laura Petrie [played by Mary Tyler Moore on 'The Dick Van Dyke Show'] for my codename. So isn't that crazy?" Evans will celebrate the 20th anniversary of her album, "Restless," with an August 17th show at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium where she will perform the project in its entirety.
