Against Me!

"333" is the latest single from the Florida band, Against Me!. It will be on their forthcoming 7th album called "Shape Shift With Me" due out on September 16th via Total Treble/INgrooves. It will be their first since 2014's "Transgender Dysphoria Blues." "333" finds Against Me! lead-singer, Laura Jane Grace yelling, "All the devils that you don't know can come along for the ride, I want to get as close as I can get to you," and Atom Willard's top-notch drumming holding it all together.
"Tons of people have written about love. But while love is cliché, it's infinitely relevant," Grace says. "For me, having always been in a punk band that was expected to be political, I never felt like I had that option to write about feelings in that way. That's what I ended up being drawn to this time. It's writing in a way I thought I could never write before, and not giving a s-t about expectations."
Against Me! was formed in Gainesville, Florida, in 1997 by singer and guitarist Laura Jane Grace. Since 2001, the band's lineup has also included guitarist James Bowman. Inge Johansson (bass & vocals) and Atom Willard (drums & percussion) are also current members of the group. In 2012, Grace publicly came out as transgender, beginning a transition to living as a woman and dropping her birth name. After a long period of lineup changes and uncertainty surrounding the band's future, their sixth studio album, Transgender Dysphoria Blues, was released independently in 2014 to critical and commercial acclaim.
Against Me! will be touring with Bad Religion and Dave Hause later this year. Laura Jane Grace will also be releasing her memoir, "Tranny: Confessions of Punk Rock's Most Infamous Anarchist Sellout," in November.
