Finish Ticket
Feb 19, 2016
"Color" is the latest single released by the San Francisco band, Finish Ticket. This song can be found on their new RRP/Elektra Records EP, "When Night Becomes Day." The songs were recorded and produced in the Bay Area and mixed by Mark Needham (The Killers, Imagine Dragons). The EP's surging alternative tracks, which veer from buoyant pop to propulsive rock, pulse with live energy, giving the listener a tangible sense of the musicians.
"The songs all feel like you can picture them live when you hear them," Finish Ticket band-member, Alex notes. "They're some of our best live songs and we recorded them with the idea that they'll translate well live."
Finish Ticket is made up of Brendan Hoye, Alex DiDonato, Michael Hoye, Gabe Stein and Nick Stein. The band formed while Brendan, Michael and Alex were still in high school and was rounded out by Nick and Gabe with the initial goal of being part of the thriving Bay Area music scene. They wanted to contribute to the innovative artists cultivating a following around San Francisco and were willing to do everything in their power to do so. Finish Ticket have released several EPs and a full-length since, eventually arriving at the aesthetic they're creating now. Their 2010 debut album, "Tears You Apart," was re-released by Elektra Records in 2013. Now Finish Ticket are working on their next album, which will extend from the songs on the EP.
The band, who have played with The Smashing Pumpkins, Broken Bells, The Black Keys, Phoenix, and The Strokes are currently touring throughout the U.S.
