Half Moon Run
Jan 17, 2016
The Montreal group, Half Moon Run have released another single from their recent sophomore album, "Sun Leads On" released late last year via Glassnote Records. The single, "Turn Your Love" is another example of the band's new mature sound. On this record, they are incorporating an eclectic mix of styles and influences. This latest track retains the band's knack for melodic indie rock, but incorporates layers of synthesizers and psychedelic harmonies.
Based in Montreal, the band members, who previously lived in Comox, British Columbia and in Ottawa, Ontario; are singer Devon Portielje (vocals, guitar & percussion), Conner Molander (vocals, guitar & keyboard), Dylan Phillips (vocals, drums & keyboard) and Isaac Symonds (vocals, percussions, mandolin, keyboard & guitar). Their debut album, "Dark Eyes", was released in 2012.
Half Moon Run have played at SXSW, Osheaga, Canadian Music Week and Glastonbury Festival and have opened for such artists as Of Monsters and Men, Metric, Mumford & Sons and many others. They are currently in the middle of a U.S. tour which wraps up on January 31st in Vermont. Then, they will head to tour Europe and Canada until early summer.
