New Order

The English group, New Order will be releasing their first full-length album in a decade on September 25th via Mute Records. Entitled "Music Complete," their 10th album's debut single is "Restless." The track is elegant and bright, with anthemic choruses. This follow-up to New Order's 2005's "Waiting for the Sirens' Call" will feature all-star guests, including Brandon Flowers, Iggy Pop, Elly Jackson of Le Roux, Chemical Brothers' Tom Rowlands and more. "Music Complete" was produced by New Order, except the songs "Singularity" and "Unlearn This Hatred", both produced by Tom Rowlands. The album was mixed by Craig Silvey, except "Plastic", which was mixed by Richard X.
New Order members include Bernard Sumner, Gillian Gilbert, Stephen Morris, Tom Chapman and Phil Cunningham. They have released a total of nine studio and two live albums, starting with their debut single "Ceremony" on Factory Records in 1981. They indeed became one of the most critically acclaimed and influential bands of the '80s. Their 1983 hit "Blue Monday" was the best-selling 12-inch single of all time. Their minimalist album sleeves and "non-image" reflected the label's aesthetic of doing whatever the relevant parties wanted to do, including an aversion to including singles as album tracks.
New Order have confirmed details of an upcoming UK tour. The short run in November will include gigs in London, Glasgow, Liverpool and Wolverhampton. The UK tour will include The Warehouse Project in Manchester as well as two shows at London's Brixton Academy.
