White Arrows
Oct 16, 2014
The Los Angeles quintet White Arrows released their sophomore full-length album on September 16th via Votiv entitled In Bardo. On the lead single, "We Can't Ever Die," funky, disco-inflected verses segue smoothly into arena-worthy hooks. Bardo is defined as a transitional state of being, the phase of existence between death and rebirth. It marks the end of one thing and the beginning of another. It represents an evolution, which is why the title of White Arrows' second album, In Bardo, is so appropriate.
The band consists of Mickey Church (vocals & guitar), Steven Vernet (bass), Andrew Naeve (electronics & guitar) and John Paul Caballero (electronics & guitar). White Arrows are indie rockers with big pop ambitions and a whole bunch of synthesizers. This combination has earned them spots on tours with taste-making bands like Cults and White Denim and slots at big festivals like Coachella and Sasquatch.
White Arrows have announced a fall headlining tour in support of In Bardo. The upcoming tour will include stops in major west coast cities including San Francisco, Portland, Seattle and more. The tour follows up the spring's successful tour with The Neighbourhood and a sold out headlining show at The Troubadour in Los Angeles. White Arrows also played MTV's VMA Artist to Watch Concert at The Avalon. The band performed alongside Bleachers and Charli XCX. Additionally, White Arrows were Los Angeles' Alt 98.7 Artist In Residence for the month of September.
