New Found Glory
Sep 12, 2014
Due out on October 7th via Hopeless Records, New Found Glory's latest and eighth album is called Resurrection. It is the bands first album recorded as a four-piece since the departure of founding guitarist-lyricist Steve Klein in late 2013. It was produced alongside frequent collaborator Paul Miner and recorded between June and July 2014. The album is preceded by singles "Selfless" and "Ready & Willing." Both are hard-hitting and catchy tracks.
"The goal for the new record was to make it sound really authentic and natural and not filled in," lead guitarist and vocalist Chad Gilbert said in a press release. "It was trying to make the biggest sounding record stripped down as four people."
The band currently consists of Jordan Pundik (vocals), Chad Gilbert (guitar), Ian Grushka (bass) and Cyrus Bolooki (drums). During their lengthy recording career, the band have released seven studio albums, one live album, two EPs, and three cover albums. They emerged as part of the second wave of pop punk in the late 1990s. They were even labeled the "godfathers of punk". Also renowned for their energetic live performances, the band has garnered a cult following since their inception
To promote the release of the album, the band headlined the fifth annual Glamour Kills tour starting on August 10th, with dates across South Korea, Canada, the United States, and Europe. This Fall, New Found Glory will be heading out on tour in October with We Are The In Crowd, Fireworks, Candy Hearts, Red City Radio and Better Off.
