Machine Gun Kelly and WILLOW have teamed up to bring a pop-punk banger “emo girl,” the new single from MGK’s forthcoming album Mainstream Sellout. MGK originally previewed the rock-tinged single alongside WILLOW on his TikTok account. The 15-second snippet quickly sparked conversation as the clip reeled in over seventeen million total views and was the third fastest growing TikTok in 24 hours from his account. MGK sat down with executive producer Travis Barker to comically unveil the new album title after the pair previously tattooed the former name born with horns six months ago. His sixth studio album Mainstream Sellout will arrive March 25th. It was originally going to be titled Born With Horns, but he recently (and hilariously) changed the name. 

Born Colson Baker, he is known professionally as Machine Gun Kelly (MGK) as a singer, musician, and actor from Cleveland. He is noted for his compositional blending of contemporary and alternative hip hop with rock. He released four mixtapes between 2007 and 2010 before signing with Bad Boy Records. He released his debut studio album, Lace Up, in 2012, which peaked at number four on the US Billboard 200 and contained his breakout single "Wild Boy" (featuring Waka Flocka Flame). His second and third albums, General Admission (2015) and Bloom (2017), achieved similar commercial success; the latter included the single "Bad Things" (with Camila Cabello). His fourth album, Hotel Diablo (2019), included rap rock. MGK fifth album, Tickets To My Downfall in 2020 marked a complete departure from hip-hop and entry into pop-punk. 

His first acting role was in the romantic drama Beyond the Lights (2014), and since appeared in the techno-thriller Nerve (2016), the horror Bird Box (2018), the comedy Big Time Adolescence and portrayed Tommy Lee in the biopic The Dirt (both 2019).

As for Willow, the 20-something multi-hyphenate continues to achieve. Last year, she released her fourth studio album, lately I feel EVERYTHING and emerged as a pop-punk star. After being named Billboard’s Greatest Pop Stars 2021: Comeback Artist of the Year, WILLOW looks to take her talents on the road this month and join Billie Eilish for the U.S. leg of her Happier Than Ever World Tour.

MGK most recently headlined the 2022 NHL All-Star Game in Las Vegas and delivered a scintillating halftime performance for hockey and rock enthusiasts. He also just teamed up with Halsey for the Bud Light Music fest for the Super Bowl at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. Machine Gun Kelly is currently touring across four countries and has festival shows, including Lollapalooza Argentina and Lollapalooza Brazil in March and Bonnaroo Music Festival in June.
