Cloud 9” is the newest single from Chicago’s Beach Bunny. It can be found on their debut studio album, Honeymoon, released on February 14th via Mom + Pop Records. “Cloud 9,” is the third song released from the collection. “Honeymoon” was recorded at the iconic Chicago studio Electrical Audio with producer Joe Reinhart (Hop Along, Modern Baseball, Joyce Manor). “Cloud 9” is accompanied by an animated video created by Margaret Bialis.
When asked about “Cloud 9,” Beach Bunny member, Lili Trifilio explains, "I sought out to write a true, gushy, genuine love song when creating 'Cloud 9.' At the time I was at a questionable point in my relationship and I was reflecting on the last few years and how despite the ups and downs, love held us together. I hope that anyone who listens to this song can feel the love in the lyrics and give love a chance, as well as remember to always love themselves first and foremost."
Beach Bunny started in Chicago in 2015 as a bedroom pop solo project before expanding to a full band in 2017 with Matt Henkels (guitar), Anthony Vaccaro (bass) and Jonathan Alvarado (drums) joining on. The group currently consists of Lili Trifilio – vocals, guitar (2015–present) Matt Henkels – guitar (2016–present), Anthony Vaccaro – bass (2019–present) and Jon Alvarado – drums (2016–present). As a solo act, Trifilio has released 6 EPs.
